End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") governs your use of the Saydrop macOS application. By installing, copying, or using Saydrop you agree to be bound by these terms.

Effective: June 2026 · Governing law: Switzerland

01 License Grant

Squibble GmbH grants you a perpetual, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Saydrop on a single macOS device that you own or control.

You may use Saydrop for personal or professional purposes, including use on behalf of your employer, provided that only you (and no other individual or account) use this copy of the software.

This is a license, not a sale. You do not own Saydrop and do not have the rights a full owner would. All rights not expressly granted are reserved to Squibble GmbH.

02 Trial Period

Saydrop includes a 14-day full-feature trial period from first launch. You may use all features without any limitation during the trial. No credit card is required to begin the trial.

If you wish to continue using Saydrop after the trial ends, you must purchase a license at the price of CHF 39. Until you purchase, the app will remain fully functional during the trial window, then become read-only after the trial expires.

The trial period is designed to let you evaluate Saydrop thoroughly before you commit financially. We recommend you try all features, configure your settings, and build your personal dictionary before deciding to purchase.

03 Scope & Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of Saydrop.
  • Distribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend Saydrop or any copy to another person or organisation.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice in Saydrop.
  • Use Saydrop for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates applicable law.
  • Use Saydrop on more than one device or share a single license across multiple users or machines.

Personal dictionaries and recorded settings are encrypted and stored locally on your device. You may back up your personal dictionary for restoration if you reinstall the app on the same machine.

04 Intellectual Property

Saydrop, including all software, source code, documentation, user interface, design, artwork, and branding, is the exclusive intellectual property of Squibble GmbH and is protected by Swiss and international copyright law.

You retain all intellectual property rights to your personal dictionary and transcribed content. Squibble GmbH makes no claim to ownership of text you create or capture using Saydrop.

All third-party libraries, models, and dependencies included with Saydrop (mlx-whisper, Gemma, pynput, etc.) are subject to their own respective licenses and copyright notices, reproduced in the app's documentation.

05 Warranty & Liability

Saydrop is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.

Squibble GmbH makes no express or implied warranty that Saydrop will:

  • Be free from errors, bugs, viruses, or malware.
  • Accurately transcribe speech or produce perfectly polished text (transcription accuracy varies by audio quality, background noise, accent, and language).
  • Be compatible with every macOS version or device (Saydrop requires macOS on Apple Silicon; Intel or older devices are not supported).
  • Be uninterrupted or available at all times (the app relies on local hardware and models; network interruptions may affect optional cloud cleanup).
  • Meet any particular purpose you may have in mind.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, Squibble GmbH's total liability for any claim arising under this EULA is limited to the price you paid for the license (CHF 39). Squibble GmbH is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or loss of use, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this EULA limits liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or fraud under Swiss law.

06 Purchase & Paddle as Merchant of Record

Saydrop is sold exclusively through Paddle.com. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the authorized Merchant of Record for all Saydrop purchases. Your purchase is a transaction between you and Paddle, not directly with Squibble GmbH.

By purchasing through Paddle, you agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy. Paddle will collect and process your billing information, email address, and payment details. Squibble GmbH does not receive or store this payment data.

The price you see is CHF 39, displayed in CHF. Paddle may add VAT or other applicable taxes depending on your location. All pricing and tax calculations are performed by Paddle.

For billing issues, refunds, or payment disputes, contact Paddle directly. See the Refund Policy for more information.

07 Support & Updates

Squibble GmbH provides best-effort support via email (hello@squibble.ch). We aim to respond to support enquiries within 48 hours, but make no guarantee of response time or resolution.

We periodically release updates and improvements to Saydrop. Updates are provided at no additional charge and are recommended for security, stability, and feature improvements. You are not obligated to accept an update, but older versions may become unsupported.

We do not guarantee that future versions will be compatible with your current hardware, operating system version, or configuration.

08 Termination

This license is perpetual and does not expire, provided you comply with these terms.

Squibble GmbH may terminate this license immediately if you breach any material term of this EULA. Upon termination, you must delete all copies of Saydrop from your device.

If we discontinue Saydrop entirely, we will attempt to provide at least 30 days' notice to registered users. Your license remains valid for any copies you have already installed and activated, but we will make no further updates or provide support for discontinued versions.

09 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This EULA is governed exclusively by the laws of Switzerland, excluding conflict-of-law provisions and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising from or in connection with this EULA is Zürich, Switzerland. You irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.

Squibble GmbH reserves the right to take legal action in any jurisdiction where you are located to enforce this EULA or protect its intellectual property rights.
